The College Mennonite Church Board

The Church Board is made up of the ministerial team and nine elders who are discerned by the congregation. The Church Board monitors and encourages the congregation's spiritual life. Elders provide supervision, counsel and support for the ministerial team and seek to facilitate congregational decision making. Ministers meet with and serve as staff for each of the commissions. The entire Church Board meets quarterly with the chairs of all commissions, forming a Coordinating Council.

The Church Board also oversees the following groups:

  • Communications Committee

  • Young Adult Ministry Team

  • Listening and Reconciliation Team

  • Memorial Garden Committee

  • Historical Committee

  • By-laws Review Committee

  • Delegates to Indiana-Michigan conference and Mennonite Church USA assembly

The Church Board helps the congregation relate to Goshen College via the Amity Corporation, which owns and oversees our shared facility.

Elders in 2008-2009 are: Fanni Birky, Randy Clouse, Del Good (chair), Tom Gunden, Anne Hershberger, John Hershberger, Becky Horst, Sally Jo Milne, and Vicki Yoder.

For more information, please contact Elder chair Del Good at . For more information regarding the Bylaws Committee, please contact Randy Clouse at .
