Pastor Betty Hochstetler Betty Mullet Hochstetler

Betty Mullet Hochstetler is interim pastor, ministering in nurture and counseling. She grew up in Nappanee, the fourth of five children in a Beachy Amish family. She attended Hesston College before completing a bachelor's degree in music education at Fort Wayne Bible College .


After teaching music for five years, Betty completed a master of divinity degree at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.

In 1977 Betty was ordained as a minister in the General Conference Mennonite Church, and f or nine years was a co-pastor with her husband, Lee, at Grace Community Church in  Chicago. Betty completed her doctoral degree at Garrett Evangelical Seminary in Chicago. Since moving back to Goshen 12 years ago She and Lee have both worked at Oaklawn, where Betty is a pastoral counselor and psychotherapist at the Marilyn Avenue office.
