Pastor Sandra Shenk Lapp joined the pastoral team in June 2008 as interim pastor for youth and young adults.
In January 2009, she began a new interim role as pastor for Outreach. In this part-time role, she is the relating pastor to Calling Commission, which focuses on discerning gifts in the congregation, and Outreach Commission, which leads the congregation's local, national and international ministry efforts.
Lapp received her B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Goshen College in 1982. Prior to coming to CMC in 1997, she and her husband served under the Mennonite Board of Missions in northern Israel as English teachers and volunteer coordinators, and later in East Jerusalem as country representatives for Mennonite Central Committee's program in Palestine. As a layperson at CMC, Lapp has served on the Nurture Commission and the Bible School planning committee, taught Sunday school, and currently is a sponsor for the youth group.
