Youth Choir and Orchestra at College Mennonite Church
College Mennonite Church holds children and youth in high regard and we value their place in our faith community.
Through the Youth choir and Orchestra programs, junior high and high school age youth experience the joy of worshiping through music which helps to nurture them in their spiritual journeys toward a mature Christian faith.
Whether you are members, guests, or have never attended CMC, if you are a junior high school or high school youth you are welcome to join the CMC Youth choir and orchestra program. Our choirs are arranged by age group:
Middle School Treble Choir is a choir made up of girls in Grades 6-8. Supper and choir are from 5:30 to 7:00 PM on Wednesdays. They perform a variety of musical styles and sing in worship 6 to 8 times throughout the church year.
CMC Youth Singers is a mixed ensemble of boys in Grades 6–12 and girls in Grades 9-12. They perform a variety of musical styles and sing 6 to 8 times during the church year.
Youth Choir consists of singers in Middle School Treble Choir and CMC Youth Singers. They perform larger choral works occasionally during the church year.
Youth Orchestra is open to anyone who is a reasonably accomplished junior high school or high school aged player of a musical instrument.
Rehearsals are once a week at College Mennonite Church, 1900 S. Main Street, Goshen.
Supper, activities and choir are select Wednesday evenings throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
